Ketimines
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006321
Organic compounds that are imines derived from ketones, having the general structure R2C=NR'. They contain a carbon-nitrogen double bond where the carbon atom is bonded to two alkyl or aryl groups. Ketimines are typically formed by the condensation reaction of a ketone with a primary amine.
