Anils
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000608
A type of organic compound characterized by a carbon-nitrogen double bond, where the nitrogen atom is connected to an aryl group. These compounds are also known as Schiff bases, formed by the condensation reaction between an aldehyde or ketone and an aromatic amine, such as aniline. They are widely used in organic synthesis as intermediates.
