Anilides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000607
A class of organic compounds derived from aniline, where the amino group's hydrogen atom is replaced by an acyl group. These are N-phenyl substituted amides, characterized by the presence of a phenyl group directly attached to the nitrogen atom of an amide linkage. They are formed by the reaction of aniline with carboxylic acids or their derivatives.
