Carboxamides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001658
Organic compounds containing the carboxamide functional group (-CONH2), which is derived from a carboxylic acid by replacing the hydroxyl group with an amino group. These compounds are a subclass of amides where the carbonyl carbon is directly attached to a hydrogen or an alkyl/aryl group. Acetamide is a simple example of a carboxamide.
