Ketazines
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006318
Organic compounds containing the C=N-N=C functional group, formed by the condensation reaction of two ketone molecules with hydrazine. They are a subclass of azines where both carbon atoms directly attached to the imine nitrogen atoms are part of a ketone derivative. These compounds are often used as intermediates in organic synthesis.
