Hydrazines

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005451

A class of organic compounds containing the N-N single bond, derived from hydrazine (H2N-NH2) by replacement of one or more hydrogen atoms with organic groups. They are characterized by the presence of at least one amino group directly attached to another nitrogen atom. Hydrazines are strong reducing agents and serve as precursors for many pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
