Azanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001045
A class of acyclic, saturated nitrogen hydrides, which are compounds composed solely of nitrogen and hydrogen atoms with only single bonds. These compounds are analogous to alkanes, with nitrogen atoms replacing carbon atoms. The simplest azane is ammonia (NH3), and hydrazine (N2H4) is another common example.
