Nitrimines
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007961
Organic compounds of the form O2N-N=CR2, also called N-nitroimines, in which a nitro group is attached to the nitrogen atom of an imine carbon-nitrogen double bond. They are distinct from nitrosimines, which carry a nitroso group on that nitrogen, and from nitramines, in which the nitro-bearing nitrogen is a saturated amine nitrogen.
