Imines
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005606
Organic compounds containing a carbon-nitrogen double bond, with the general formula R2C=NR'. They are analogous to ketones and aldehydes, but with the oxygen atom replaced by a nitrogen atom. Imines are typically formed by the condensation reaction of an aldehyde or ketone with a primary amine.
