Radiation thermal catalysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009829
A catalytic process that combines the effects of both radiation and heat to accelerate a chemical reaction. The radiation initiates primary steps or generates reactive species, while thermal energy provides the activation energy for subsequent reaction pathways. This synergistic approach can achieve higher reaction rates or selectivities than either method alone.
