Radioactive cooling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009862
The decrease in the radioactivity of a sample over time due to the decay of its constituent radionuclides. As radioactive nuclei transform into more stable forms, the overall activity of the sample diminishes. This process follows an exponential decay law, characterized by the half-lives of the radionuclides present.
