Radiocolloid

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009880

A colloidal particle that contains radioactive atoms. These particles can form when a radioactive substance is present in a solution at concentrations exceeding its solubility limit, leading to the formation of aggregates. Radiocolloids are often observed in environmental samples containing radionuclides, where they can influence radionuclide transport.
