Radioenzymatic assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009881
An analytical method that uses a radioactive substrate or cofactor in an enzyme-catalyzed reaction to quantify the activity of an enzyme or the concentration of a specific analyte. The product of the reaction, which is often radioactive, is then separated and measured. This technique offers high sensitivity for detecting trace amounts.
