Reduced osmotic pressure

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010046

The osmotic pressure divided by the mass concentration of the solute, used chiefly for polymer solutions. When it is plotted against concentration, the intercept at zero concentration equals RT divided by the number-average molar mass, which yields that molar mass. The slope of the plot reflects the second virial coefficient.
