Regiorandom polymer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010104

A polymer characterized by a statistically random distribution of monomer connectivity, meaning there is no preferred orientation for the linkage of monomer units along the polymer chain. This randomness can lead to amorphous structures and less efficient charge transport in conjugated polymers. It represents the opposite of a regioregular polymer.
