Antisoliton
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000711
A type of topological defect in a polymer chain, particularly in conjugated polymers, that represents a localized excitation with an opposite charge or spin to a soliton. These defects are associated with changes in the electronic structure and can influence the electrical conductivity of the polymer. Antisolitons are often found in pairs with solitons.
