Dark electric conductivity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002858

The electrical conductivity of a material measured in the absence of any external electromagnetic radiation, particularly light. This property reflects the intrinsic charge transport mechanisms within the material, driven solely by thermal energy or an applied electric field. It is a fundamental characteristic for evaluating the electrical properties of semiconducting or insulating polymers, often measured in units of Siemens per centimeter.
