Relative volumic mass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010168
The ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance, both measured under specified conditions. It is a dimensionless quantity that indicates how much denser or lighter a substance is compared to the reference. For liquids and solids, the reference substance is typically water at 4 °C.
