Resonance lamp
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010253
A type of spectral lamp that emits radiation at specific wavelengths corresponding to the resonance lines of a particular element. This lamp contains a vapor of the element whose spectrum is desired, and it is excited to emit light through electrical discharge. Resonance lamps are widely used as light sources in atomic absorption spectroscopy and atomic fluorescence spectroscopy.
