The fluid ejaculated by male animals, containing spermatozoa and secretions from accessory glands such as the seminal vesicles and prostate gland. This complex mixture provides a medium for sperm transport, nourishment, and protection. Its composition varies among species but typically includes fructose, enzymes, and prostaglandins.
