Short circuit photocurrent
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010826
The electric current generated by a photovoltaic device when its terminals are connected directly, resulting in zero voltage across the device. This current is produced by the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs under illumination. It is a key parameter for characterizing the performance of solar cells and other photodetectors.
