Short chain
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010825
A polymer chain with a relatively low number of repeating monomer units, resulting in a low relative molecular mass. These chains are generally considered oligomers rather than high polymers. The exact length defining a short chain can vary depending on the specific polymer system and its application.
