Telomerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011847
A polymerization process where a monomer reacts with a telogen (a chain transfer agent) to form a series of oligomers, called telomers, that contain one or more monomer units and fragments of the telogen at both ends. This reaction involves repetitive addition of monomer to the telogen, followed by chain transfer. The degree of polymerization is typically low, resulting in short polymer chains.
