Silasesquithianes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010861
Polymeric compounds containing silicon and sulfur, characterized by a three-dimensional network structure with the empirical formula (RSiS1.5)n. These materials are analogous to silasesquioxanes but with sulfur atoms replacing oxygen atoms in the backbone. Their synthesis and properties are less explored than their oxygen counterparts, but they hold potential in materials science.
