Silathianes

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010862

Organic compounds characterized by the presence of silicon-sulfur bonds, forming a chain or ring structure. These compounds are analogous to siloxanes, where oxygen atoms are replaced by sulfur atoms. They exhibit different reactivity and physical properties compared to their oxygen counterparts, often being more susceptible to hydrolysis.
