Heteroalkenes

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005227

Alkenes in which one or more carbon atoms in the double bond are replaced by a heteroatom. The most common heteroatoms involved are nitrogen, oxygen, or sulfur. These compounds exhibit reactivity characteristic of both alkenes and the incorporated heteroatom, influencing their chemical behavior and applications.
