Heterocyclyl groups
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005236
Univalent groups derived from heterocyclic compounds by removing one hydrogen atom from any ring atom. These groups contain at least one heteroatom (e.g., nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur) within the ring structure. Examples include pyridyl from pyridine or furyl from furan, which are common motifs in pharmaceuticals.
