Aryl groups

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000821

Univalent organic groups derived from an arene by the removal of one hydrogen atom from a ring carbon. These groups are characterized by their aromatic nature, typically involving a benzene ring or a fused aromatic system. The simplest example is the phenyl group, derived from benzene.
