Hydrocarbylene groups
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005456
Bivalent groups derived from hydrocarbons by the removal of two hydrogen atoms from different carbon atoms or from the same carbon atom. These groups consist exclusively of carbon and hydrogen. Examples include methylene (-CH2-) and ethylene (-CH2CH2-) groups, which are common linkers in organic molecules.
