Hetarynes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005226
Highly reactive, transient intermediates that are cyclic unsaturated compounds containing a triple bond within a heterocyclic aromatic ring. They are analogous to arynes but incorporate one or more heteroatoms in the ring. These species are typically generated in situ and undergo rapid reactions, such as cycloadditions.
