Borylenes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012934
Neutral, highly reactive species containing a monovalent boron atom with two non-bonding electrons, analogous to carbenes. They are characterized by the general structure R-B:, where R represents an organic substituent. These species are typically transient intermediates and can undergo insertion or cycloaddition reactions, similar to boranylidenes.
