Heteroarynes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005230
Unsaturated cyclic compounds containing at least one heteroatom within the ring and a formal triple bond. These highly reactive intermediates are analogous to arynes but incorporate a heteroatom like nitrogen or oxygen into the aromatic ring system. They are typically generated in situ and undergo cycloaddition or nucleophilic addition reactions.
