Soap film

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010964

A thin layer of liquid, typically water, stabilized by surfactant molecules, such as soap, that reduce the surface tension. These films exhibit interference colors due to the reflection of light from their inner and outer surfaces. A common example is a soap bubble, which is a spherical soap film.
