Stream
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011468
A continuous flow of a fluid phase entering, leaving, or circulating within an extraction or separation apparatus. This stream can be the feed containing the analyte, the extracting solvent, or the resulting extract and raffinate phases after separation has occurred. The composition and flow rate of each stream are key parameters in designing and controlling the continuous extraction process.
