Stress-protein fingerprinting

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011479

A technique used to identify and quantify the specific pattern of stress protein expression in an organism or cell in response to particular environmental contaminants or stressors. This method provides a biochemical 'fingerprint' that can indicate exposure to certain toxicants and the organism's physiological response. It is often employed in ecotoxicology for biomonitoring.
