Stress-response pathway
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011480
A series of interconnected molecular events within a cell or organism that are activated in response to a stressor, leading to adaptive changes. These pathways involve signaling molecules, gene expression alterations, and protein modifications designed to restore homeostasis or mitigate damage. Examples include the unfolded protein response and the heat shock response.
