Stressor

An agent, condition, or stimulus that causes stress in an organism or ecosystem, leading to a physiological or ecological response. Stressors can be physical, chemical, or biological in nature, such as extreme temperatures, pollutants, or pathogens. The impact of a stressor depends on its intensity, duration, and the susceptibility of the affected entity.
