Vulnerability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012628
The intrinsic susceptibility of an organism, population, or ecosystem to adverse effects from exposure to a hazard. This characteristic is determined by factors such as genetic makeup, physiological state, or environmental conditions that reduce resilience. It quantifies the potential for harm when a stressor is present.
