Fingerprinting
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004435
An analytical approach that involves generating a characteristic pattern or profile from a complex sample, which can then be used for identification, classification, or comparison. This method does not necessarily require the identification of every individual component but relies on the overall spectral or chromatographic signature. It is widely applied in metabolomics and quality control.
