Synchrotron radiation induced X-ray fluorescence analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011751
An analytical technique that uses highly intense and tunable X-rays from a synchrotron source to excite characteristic X-ray fluorescence from a sample. The emitted fluorescence is then detected and analyzed to determine the elemental composition of the material. This method offers high sensitivity, spatial resolution, and minimal sample damage, making it suitable for trace element analysis.
