Thermoluminescence analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011972
A technique that measures the light emitted by a material when it is heated after being exposed to ionizing radiation. The emitted light, or thermoluminescence, is proportional to the absorbed radiation dose. This method is used for dosimetry, dating archaeological artifacts, and studying defects in polymeric materials.
