Γ-radiation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004976
High-energy electromagnetic radiation emitted from an atomic nucleus during radioactive decay or nuclear reactions. It consists of photons and is a form of ionizing radiation with no mass or charge. Gamma radiation has high penetrating power and is often used in medical imaging, sterilization, and industrial applications.
