Radiation chemistry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009820
A branch of chemistry that investigates the chemical effects of high-energy radiation on matter. This field studies the processes initiated by ionizing radiation, such as gamma rays, X-rays, and electron beams, as they interact with atoms and molecules. It differs from photochemistry, which deals with the effects of ultraviolet or visible light.
