Tingling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012078
A prickling or stinging sensation on the skin, formally known as paresthesia, that occurs without external stimulation. This feeling arises from abnormal nerve activity and is a common symptom reported in neurotoxicology, indicating potential damage to or irritation of peripheral nerves. Tingling is distinct from numbness, which is a loss of sensation, although both phenomena can occur together.
