Titre
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012091
A way of stating how strong a standard solution is for a particular analyte, as the mass of that analyte which reacts with 1 cm3 of the solution. For example, a silver nitrate solution of about 0.141 mol per litre has a titre of about 5.00 mg of chloride per cm3. Titre is therefore a mass-per-volume equivalence for a given analyte, unlike a molar concentration, and titer is the American spelling.
