Toxicogenomics
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012172
The application of genomic technologies, such as transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, to understand the molecular mechanisms of toxicity. This field investigates changes in gene expression, protein profiles, or metabolic pathways in response to exposure to toxic agents. It aims to identify biomarkers of exposure and effect, and to elucidate pathways of toxicity.
