Vagina

A muscular, elastic canal that extends from the cervix to the outside of the body in female mammals. It serves as the birth canal during childbirth, the receptacle for the penis during sexual intercourse, and the pathway for menstrual flow. The vaginal wall is lined with stratified squamous epithelium.
