Vaginal patency

The state of the vaginal opening being open and unobstructed, allowing for the passage of menstrual flow or sexual intercourse. In immature female mammals, the vagina is typically closed by a membrane, and its opening, or patency, is a marker of puberty. This developmental milestone is influenced by hormonal maturation.
