Prolapse

The downward displacement or protrusion of an organ or tissue from its normal anatomical position. This condition often occurs when the supporting structures, such as muscles or ligaments, weaken. Examples include uterine prolapse or vaginal prolapse, where these organs descend into or outside the vaginal canal.
