Hyperflexion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013171
The movement of a joint beyond its normal anatomical range of flexion, which can lead to tissue damage or injury. This motion forces the joint into an extreme bent position, placing excessive strain on surrounding structures. An example is hyperflexion of the wrist, which can injure tendons or ligaments.
